Alcatel has just presented at the IFA in Berlin a new tablet, the One Touch Hero 8. The company assures that it is a perfect tablet to enjoy all kinds of multimedia content.

The One Touch Hero 8 is 7.3 millimeters thick and weighs 310 grams being one of the lightest and most manageable tablets on the market. Its aluminum housing what it achieves gives an elegant and attractive appearance.

The tablet features an 8-inch screen and a 1920 x 1200 dot resolution. It is powered by a powerful and efficient 2.00 GHz MediaTek MT8392 + eight-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable by microSD card up to a total of 32 GB. It has 4G LTE Cat.4 connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, infrared sensor, FM Radio, GPS and GLONASS.

The rear camera is 5 megapixels and the front is 2 megapixels, being specially designed for video chat and selfies. The tablet has a 4, 060 mAh battery and Android KitKat 4.4 operating system.

The Hero 8 is Miracast certified, allowing you to stream video or music directly to a television or monitor, all wirelessly without the need for a router. It also has a mode that makes it a universal remote control for television and can be connected via Bluetooth to phones, headphones or speakers and is compatible with 4G connectivity.

The company has stated that the tablet will be compatible with the vast majority of accessories for the One Touch range, for example with a version of the MagicFlip protective case. This protective case allows users to see notifications on their LED panel for new emails or alarms even if the cover is closed.

It will be available on the market in September at a price still unknown.
