Dell this week unveiled its new, next-generation curved gaming monitor, the Alienware 34. The new AW3420DW monitor looks just like its 2017 predecessor, with the same resolution and G-Sync functionality, however, this one has higher screen brightness, a different design, and features an IPS panel with Nano Color technology.

Alienware AW3420DW Curved Monitor to be released later this month

Alienware AW3420DW is the company's latest flagship display based on an IPS panel with a resolution of 3440 × 1440 pixels, a brightness of 350 nits, a contrast ratio of 1000: 1, a native refresh rate of 120 Hz, a “fast” GtG response, 1900R curvature, 178 ° / 178 ° vertical / horizontal viewing angles, and NVIDIA G-Sync technology. This is a complete arsenal of features that PC gamers will take advantage of, but also those that require a good multipurpose monitor for design.

The key difference between the new Alienware 34 curved monitor model AW3420DW and its predecessor (AW3418DW) is a new IPS panel with Dell's "Nano Color" technology, allowing the monitor to cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 134.5% of that of sRGB. In contrast, the previous model only covered 99% of the sRGB range.

When it comes to connectivity, the display has a DisplayPort 1.2 input and an HDMI 1.4 port, a four-port USB 3.0 hub (with one input port), as well as 3.5mm audio jacks.
