Alienware, one of the largest manufacturers of computers and laptops in the world, has just announced its 15-inch and 17-inch Alienware ultrabooks with graphics cards from AMD, more specifically it will be the RX 470 in its version for laptops.

Alienware bets on AMD graphics

Alienware promotes these computers for enthusiastic gamers, although this particular graphics card is not of the highest range and will surely come with cuts so that it consumes less power, as is usual.

In the case of the Alienware 15, it will have a 16.6-inch Full-HD screen. Alienware 17 will have the same resolution but with a larger 17.3-inch screen. Both will have the AMD Radeon RX 470, which should ensure good graphics performance, especially under DirectX 12. In both cases they will be compatible with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier plug-in to be able to fit a more powerful graphics card in case the RX 470 falls a little short of playing all the titles on the market at the highest quality.

The RX 470 inside an Alienware

If you want to check the performance of the RX 470, you can go through our extensive analysis we did of the RED DEVIL version of PowerColor, which is not too far from an RX 480.

At the moment Alienware has only confirmed the existence of these two models and that they will arrive at the stores later this month but has not commented on their price, we will be attentive to the news of these new Alienware ultrabooks.
