During the Computex in Taipei, it was MSI that presented one of the first “Backpack” PC- Backpacks, just like HP, both devices with the intention of being able to play comfortably with the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive virtual reality glasses. Now it is Alienware who joins this new category of laptops with their own device that does not have an official name yet.

Alienware and a new category of notebook PCs

Alienware describes his Backpack-PC as a prototype that was shown in society during E3 in Los Angeles. The project is being developed together with AMD and the company has wanted us to take a first look at the preliminary design, which seems somewhat more comfortable than that shown by MSI at Computex.

Virtual Reality: All the games announced at E3

The technical specifications have not been revealed but since it will be suitable for virtual reality, it will surely have high-performance components equipped. Presumably, both the CPU and the GPU are proprietary to AMD, which is the partner of Alienware to carry out this Backpack-PC or "Backpack-PC".

It is designed by Alienware and AMD

Alienware ensures that this new device they are working on will have an autonomy of an hour and a half, so we can already imagine that it will be quite powerful, which also brings another problem. Both Alienware and AMD have indicated that they are currently focusing their efforts on a good ventilation system that not only dissipates the heat generated inside the laptop well but is also comfortable for the user who will have to carry it around.

They have refused to give a tentative departure date.
