Amazon announces cessation of its mayday video support service

Amazon has announced that it will suspend its Mayday video-help service for its Fire talets after five years since its launch. It is one of the services created to give a differentiating aspect to your tablets, something that ultimately will not continue.

Mayday allows users to activate a video chat session with a support representative with the push of a button. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos expected the feature to be highly appreciated at launch. Amazon later stated that the response time for Mayday had been reduced to about 9 seconds, exceeding its goal of 15 seconds, and that it was being used by about a third of Fire's user base.

Customer service is still accessible via phone, email, and chat. If the user's needs are technical in nature, the support team will help you in your case through the shared screen functionality of the Fire tablet.
