Amazon prime video, the most downloaded app in its first week on apple tv?

According to official statements made by a spokesperson for the giant Amazon, the long-awaited Prime Video application for Apple TV has experienced the highest number of downloads during its first week of life since the arrival of the App Store to the tvOS system, in comparison with all other applications.

"Prime Video has been a hit with Apple TV customers worldwide: It had the most first-week downloads of any app in tvOS history, " an Amazon spokesperson told BestAppleTV.com.

Neither Amazon nor Apple have revealed the actual numbers of downloads of the app, nor do we know which application previously held this achievement, much less with what number of downloads it had achieved since the tvOS application store or App Store was launched in October 2015, just over two years ago, along with the simultaneous launch of Apple TV 4, so, for now, we must rely on these official statements.

Amazon Prime Video was launched earlier this month of December for the fourth-generation and fifth-generation Apple TV, and it even appears on third-generation Apple TV devices without the user having to take any action, which could explain this figures as surprising as unknown.
