This means that the 2500X has only 8MB of L3 cache, albeit with the advantage that the cores do not need to communicate with each other using Infinity Fabric. The Ryzen 3 2300X has a clock frequency of 3.50 GHz with a 4.00 GHz turbo, while the Ryzen 5 2500X operates at 3.60 GHz with a 4.00 GHz turbo. The TDP of both chips remains at a tight 65W.
AMD also launched the āEā brand extension for its second generation Ryzen series, with the new Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E. Both chips sacrifice clock speeds for an impressive 45W TDP. The Ryzen 5 2600E has a clock frequency of 3.10 GHz with a 4.00 GHz turbo, while the Ryzen 7 2700E reaches 2.80 GHz with a 4.00 GHz turbo. The company did not disclose the prices of the four announced chips.
These new models will help make the company's catalog of processors based on the Zen architecture even more appealing, which has been a success since its launch almost a year and a half ago.
