The motherboard with the B550 chipset seen here is in a compact mATX format, the materials, workmanship and design are very "simple", with a 2-phase power supply, without heat sink, two DDR4, four SATA and an M.2 bracket.
According to the specification sheet, the chipset does not support PCIe Gen 4.0 natively, but AMD allows B550 series motherboards to access the PCIe 4.0 protocol directly from the CPU. The spec sheet shows that a single x16 PCIe Gen 4 link would be provided for the graphics and there would also be Gen 4 support for storage. The A520 chipset, on the other hand, would stick to PCIe Gen 3 support but would not offer support for dual graphics and overclocking, which is offered on the high-end X570 and B550 motherboards.
Please note that only the first PCIe slot can support PCIe 4.0 x16, and the second can only support PCIe 3.0 x 4. It is impossible for two PCIe 4.0 at the same time.
The B550 chipset itself supports up to 10 PCIe 3.0. Compared to the previous generation B450, which only supports PCIe 2.0, there has also been a leap forward. Additionally, the B550 also supports up to two USB 3.1 (and sixteen USB 2.0), which has been improved compared to previous-generation USB 3.0. It even retains the overclocking support already present in X570 and X470, independent display / integrated dual graphics card, etc.

The two DDR4 DIMM slots on the motherboard support up to 32GB of memory. The slots appear to have metal shielding, which is a good feature for an inexpensive motherboard.
