Amd confirms the arrival of new high-end 7nm navi graphics

The CEO of AMD confirms the high-end Navi graphics cards over the RX 5700 series, in addition to announcing that the fourth-generation Ryzen Mobile are already in preparation, based on the Zen 2 core.

During AMD's Q&A in the company's earnings announcement, the issue of high-end 7nm Navi graphics cards and 7nm Mobile processors addressed to AMD's CEO was raised. Dr. Lisa Su replied that they are arriving.

"It is to be hoped that our strategy in these cases is underway and that we have a portfolio of 7 nanometers beyond the products that we have currently announced in the coming quarters." Lisa Su says, when asked about the two specific products, the high-end Navi graphics cards and the new 7nm Ryzen Mobile.

AMD has recently released its Radeon RX 5700 series based on the 7nm Navi 10 GPU. Built as a state-of-the-art substitute for its Radeon RX 500 series, the RX 5700 series offers good competition against NVIDIA's RTX 2060 and RTX 2070. However, NVIDIA's high-end graphics card stack, which includes the GeForce RTX 2080, RTX 2080 Ti, remains unanswered by AMD.

This will change, although we do not know the deadlines in which AMD will have new high-end graphics cards ready to compete against Nvidia in this segment.

Known as Renoir, the latest Ryzen Mobile CPU family will replace current 'Picasso' CPUs and will feature 7nm Zen 2 cores and 7nm GPU architecture, all on a single chip.
