After several internal tests and discussions with different researchers, AMD has stated that the brand's processors do not suffer from RIDL (Rogue In-Flight Data Load) vulnerabilities, nor Fallout.
AMD's processors are safe from MDS vulnerabilities, the company says.

The Texan brand made a statement yesterday, May 14, stating that its processors are not susceptible to 'RIDL' or 'Fallout'. However, from the way they have expressed it, we cannot be completely sure, since they have been very conservative:
We believe that our products are not susceptible to 'Fallout' or 'RIDL' due to hardware protection checks on our architecture. We have not been able to demonstrate these exploits on AMD products and we do not know if anyone has succeeded. ”- AMD team
The red team has reached these conclusions based on its own internal tests and discussions with different researchers involved in discovering the vulnerabilities that include RIDL .
It should be noted that the flaw AMD refers to as Fallout is one of the four MDS vulnerabilities that Intel unveiled last day. Historically, we are aware of another vulnerability called Fallout discovered by researchers at CTS Laboratories in 2018 that, in principle, affected the integrity of memory management in AMD “Zen” processors .
If you have an 8th or 9th generation Intel processor (the ones that supposedly suffer from these vulnerabilities) we recommend looking as soon as you can turn off hyper-threading or multithreading. If you have an AMD processor, we recommend going with lead feet and following the same advice. Despite the fact that the brand claims that there is security, we never know when they can discover the opposite case.
What do you think about the vulnerabilities of Intel processors? Do you still trust the blue team or will you switch to AMD?
