Amd disappears from passmark table: intel improves with update

It seems that AMD is not as comfortable in single-threaded performance tests. PassMark's famous PerformanceTest has been updated to version 10, which has left Ryzen in check. PassMark has updated their software to version 10, but we didn't know this was going to matter that much. Suddenly, almost all Ryzen chips have disappeared, leaving the Ryzen 3 4300U as the spearhead in 35th place. On the other hand, Intel leads the ranking with the Intel Core i9-9900KS.

On March 4 version 9 of PassMark was operational and we saw a list led by AMD. Now with version 10, all AMDs are gone and Intel chips are up like foam. This is surprising because Intel released several accusations alleging that AMD was paying for better results.

What has changed in the new version? There are suspicions that the new version of PassMark has introduced features that are in favor of Intel chips. Version 10 includes an AVX512 test, which makes us believe that it will help Intel models to beat AMD.

Undoubtedly, it is very rare that AMD chips have been left on the floor from one version to another. We can understand that the new versions usually bring bugs that must be fixed, so we will be aware of upcoming patches of the PerformanceTest V10 single-thread. Maybe it's just a temporary mistake.
