AMD has published the final specifications of its Ryzen 3 2200G and 2400G processors that will arrive on the market very soon, they are the first APUs for the desktop systems that make use of Zen cores along with Vega graphics.

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G and 2400G Features

The main difference of these Ryzen 3 2200G and 2400G processors with the rest of the Ryzen range solutions, is that they include in their die a graphics processor based on the Vega architecture. Beyond that there are also some improvements like higher operating frequencies, better memory compatibility and Precision Boost 2 technology that will help achieve better turbo speeds.

Best processors on the market (January 2018)

Both the CPU and GPU parts of these new processors are overclockable, meaning the user will be able to push the operating frequencies beyond their factory specifications for even higher performance.

Going into specific details we have that the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G is a 4-core processor and 4 processing threads at a base frequency and turbo of 3.60 / 3.90 GHz, along with this we find the AMD Radeon Vega 11 graphics with 704 Stream Processors at a speed of 1250 MHz. The rest of the characteristics of this processor go through a dual chanel memory controller with support for a maximum of 64 GB of memory at 2933 MHz and a TDP of 65W. It will go on sale for $ 169.99 alongside the AMD Wraith Stealh heatsink.

On the other hand the AMD Ryzen 3 2200G is a more modest processor with 4 cores and 4 threads at base frequencies and turbo of 3.50 / 3.70 GHz, the graphic processor is also reduced to 512 Stream Processors at a speed of 1100 MHz. It maintains a 65W TDP alongside a dual chanel DDR4 memory controller with support for up to 64GB at 2667MHz. It retails for $ 99 alongside the Wraith Stealh heatsink.
