We are still talking about AMD and CES 2017 and it is that the expectations are very high with the big announcements of those of Sunnyvale like its Vega graphics and its Ryzen processors. However, AMD's presence at the event will go further and details on the new AMD FreeSync 2 technology have now been leaked.

AMD FreeSync is updated to take advantage of the benefits of HDR

AMD FreeSync 2 is an update to the original version of the technology that welcomes HDR, from now on it will automatically change our monitor to HDR whenever the technology is available, that is, we have a compatible monitor. For now no further details have been given so we don't know if the current monitors will be compatible or only the new ones will be.

Remember that AMD FreeSync technology is the rival of Nvidia G-Sync and its operation consists of synchronizing the FPS offered by the graphics card with the refresh rate of our screen to generate images that are much more fluid and free of thearing. Unlike the Nvidia solution, FreeSync is an open standard and does not add any extra cost to the monitor as it does not require additional hardware.
