Amd would have lost 60% of its income due to the fall of mining

It seems that we finally have the first clear numbers on the financial impact of the crypto mining crash that has been going on since the start of the last quarter: TUL Corporation, one of AMD's largest AIB partners, lost approximately 60% of revenue due to a drop in graphics card sales. This is something that can be directly attributed to the fact that mining has gone out of fashion (very quickly), with a drop in the crypto market and the loss of profitability of operations.

AMD's RX Vega graphics cards were an absolute beast when it came to mining profitability and far outweighed their weight in terms of profitability and ROI (Return on Investment). This is one of the reasons why they sold like hot cakes at one point and it was almost impossible to get a Vega 56 or 64 at the height of mining.

The thing to keep in mind is that the TUL Corporation is an exclusive provider to AMD, so its revenue goes directly to the health of the AMD-Radeon ecosystem. With these numbers we have been able to obtain a clear vision of how AMD Radeon graphics cards have been impacted by the fall of mining. Let's note that NVIDIA graphics cards weren't that great in mining performance (except for the 1060) and are much more competitive in gaming. That said, it is clear that NVIDIA's GeForce ecosystem will suffer from this crash as well, though perhaps not to this extent.

TUL peaked at $ 42.0 million USD (1, 318, 159, 000 NTD) in March and has since fallen to $ 13.2 million USD (405, 589, 000 NTD) in June. The company sold Radeon graphics cards worth 97.8 million US dollars (2, 995, 987, 000 NTD) in the first quarter of 2018, but only achieved a value of 40.6 million US dollars (1, 244, 050, 000 NTD) in the second quarter, a lower volume than in March.
