AMD today released the Adrenalin 18.9.2 version of its Radeon graphics card drivers. This update includes improved or added support for F1 2018, Fornite, and Shadow f the Tomb Raider.
Adrenalin Edition 18.9.2 with improvements for Fortnite, F1 2018 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The new drivers released by AMD are bringing performance improvements and not just support in the mentioned games. In F1 2018 (up to 3% faster in Vega 64 at 2560 × 1440); Fortnite (up to 5% faster at 1080p under Vega 64); Shadow of the Tomb Raider (up to 4% faster in Vega 64 at 2560 × 1440); and Star Control: Origins, with up to 14% faster performance with a Vega 64 running at 4K.
As we can see, the drivers are improving the performance under the Vega 64 graphics card to a greater extent and nothing is said about any improvement in the RX 400 or RX 500 series.
Among some of the drawbacks that these drivers solve we can say that some particle corruption problems have been fixed in the game Star Control: Origins, but there are other problems that still persist. Among some of them when trying to install an older version of Radeon Adrenalin controllers on systems with Ryzen APU processors. Also a rare problem where RX Vega graphics cards experience a spike in clock speeds while the computer is idle.
If you have an RX Vega or RX 400-500 graphics card, it is highly recommended to upgrade to this new version. You can download the Adrenalin Edition 18.9.2 drivers from the following link.
