AMD today released the Adrenalin 18.8.1 beta version of its drivers for Radeon graphics cards. The new drivers aim to keep our AMD graphics cards well-oiled and ready for new games to be released soon, like Monster Hunter World or World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth expansion.

Radeon Adrenalin 18.8.1 Beta is now available

The new version of the software offers controller-level support and enhancements for the upcoming (and highly anticipated) Monster Hunter World. For this particular game, this version of the Adrenalin controller promises between 5% and 6% more performance with the AMD RX Vega graphics card and in those RX 580 models. All this if compared to the 18.6.1 controller version of AMD running the game at 1080p.

This controller also adds support for World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth, We Happy Few, and Madden NFL 19. Other interesting additions are the extended functions for the Vulkan API, which supports more commands than previous versions of drivers.

Adrenalin 18.8.1 beta also corrects a series of errors or failures, such as; Crashes in Fortnite and Windows 7 systems, crashes on systems set up with Crossfire, or crashes in the configuration panel causing GPU and memory clocks to crash and crash when a video is playing. Civilization VI also fixed an issue with these drivers, which could 'crash' when run in DirectX 12 mode.

As always, you can download these drivers from AMD's official support site.
