Amd Delves into Senior Management and Technical Leadership Team

AMD has announced key promotions to broaden the high-level focus on the company's growth. The company has appointed “Zen” chief architect, corporate member Mike Clark, has promoted Darren Grasby to senior vice president of global computing and graphics sales and president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and has promoted Robert Gama to senior vice president and director of human resources.

AMD announces changes to its internal organization

The appointment of Mike Clark is based on his outstanding leadership role in the development of CPU core architectures, especially the Zen microarchitecture, the fundamental basis for high-performance Ryzen, Ryzen Threadripper and EPYC processors. Clark will continue to oversee the core CPU strategy, design, and roadmap.

Darren Grasby leads AMD's worldwide sales to PC manufacturers and channel partners, and provides senior executive oversight for AMD's employees, operations, and reputation as senior vice president of global computing and graphics sales and president of operations for AMD.

Robert Gama becomes senior vice president and director of human resources to lead AMD's global human resources organization, including talent management, recruiting, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and human resources systems and operations. He is responsible for driving the human resources structure and strategy to support the business priorities of the company. Gama has spent the past five years leading efforts to transform human resource practices and operations within AMD into multiple leadership positions, most recently as a director of talent.
