Unboxing and design
Aorus gives us a simple presentation in a very compact cardboard box. On the cover it indicates that it is the RX 570 model and that it has a total of 4GB GDDR5. Also that it is 100% compatible with VR (Virtual Reality).
While on the back it details all the technical characteristics of the graphics card.
Once we open the box we find:

This new card will be the second most powerful in the Radeon RX 500 series, It has a Polaris 20 core consisting of a total of 33 Compute Units (CU) that total no less than 2, 048 stream processors, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs at a maximum frequency on the 1, 280 MHz card. With these characteristics, the Ellesmere core is capable of offering maximum power greater than 5 TFLOPs, thus meeting the minimum requirement for virtual reality.
The Aorus Radeon RX 570 Gaming mounts a total of 4 GB of GDDR5 memory at a frequency of 7, 000 MHz and with a 256-bit interface to achieve a bandwidth of 224 GB / s. A figure that will be more than enough to guarantee excellent performance together with AMD's Delta Color Compression technology that compresses colors to reduce bandwidth consumption.
The reference card has a frequency of 1244 MHz, but Gigabyte wants to make things easier with two profiles. We have the possibility to use the gaming profile or the overclock profile:
- Overclocking mode: 1295MHz Gaming mode: 1280MHz
As for cooling, it incorporates a Windforce heatsink made up of an aluminum radiator and several copper heatipes. As active cooling, it has two 9 cm fans with PWM control and a 0dB operating mode that keeps them turned off in idle and low load situations. Ideal for lovers of silence.

The Aorus Radeon RX 570 Gaming It has dimensions of 23.2 x 12.1 x 3.6 cm so it is a fairly compact card and only incorporates a total of 2 slots. This card is very efficient in general (let's not think about the RX 480 at the moment) but Aorus has put an 8-pin connector so that its overclocking potential is not limited and we can further squeeze the chipset.
As rear connections it has:
- 1 x DVI3 x DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.41 x HDMI 2.0.
PCB and internal components
To separate the heatsink from the PCB is as simple as removing the 4 screws from the rear area and it comes out without any problem. As we like, it does not include any warranty stickers, in case we decide to remove the thermal paste from the factory and apply a quality one, for example the Arctic MX4.
The block is divided into two zone zones: a total of 4 heatpipes that are in contact with the RX 570 chip, thermalpads that help keep the memories with good temperatures and an exclusive zone to dissipate the temperatures of the VRMs.
The graphics card has a total of 6 + 1 phases of supply with Ultra Durable components, offering the best quality for maximum durability and reliability. Finally we leave you some images of the good work on the PCB of the graphics card.

All tests have been passed with the filters to the maximum unless we indicate otherwise. In order to have adequate performance, we have carried out three types of tests: the first is the most common at Full HD 1920 x 1080 and the second resolution is making the leap to 2K or 1440P (2560 x 1440P) gamers. The operating system we have used has been Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and the latest drivers available from the AMD website.
What are we looking for in the tests?
First, the best possible image quality. The most important value for us is the average FPS (Frames per second), the higher the number of FPS the more fluid the game will go. To differentiate the quality a bit, we leave you a table to assess the quality in FPS, but we will also have the minimum Fps in the tests that were thus possible:

Overclocking
Note: Remember that overclocking or manipulation carries a risk, we and any manufacturer are not responsible for improper use, use the head and always do so at your own risk.
We wanted to squeeze the graphics card a little bit, we have reached almost 1730 MHz in the core and we have raised the memories to 1960 MHz. The results bring us a rather palpable improvement at the benchmark level, but in games we have increased a little: 3-5 FPS.
Temperature and consumption
The temperatures of the Aorus RX 570 Gaming could not have been better. At rest we have obtained 47ºC for having the fans in passive mode, do not be alarmed. While playing at top reaches temperatures of 68ºC. Although it is somewhat higher than we expected in general, but it is the most overclocked RX 570 that we have tested so far. If we regulate the fan through software, we will surely improve the temperatures quite a lot.
Another of the great advantages of this range is the reduced consumption that we have in the equipment. Until very recently it was unthinkable to have high-end graphics and get 52W at rest and 215W playing with an Intel i7-7700K processor. While overclocked it goes up to 54 W at rest and 267 W at maximum performance.
Final words and conclusion about Aorus RX 570 Gaming 4GB
When we first saw the Aorus RX 570 Gaming 4GB we knew that it was going to give us great joy. And as we expected… it has given a great result. At the construction level it is one of the best RX 470 / RX 570 (which are some that we have tried) !! An excellent heatsink, quiet, the clock frequency quite accelerated and a very, very good loudness.
The performance in games has accompanied a lot in demanding resolutions like Full HD and 2560 x 1440p. Why haven't we tried 4K? Its scarce 4GB of memory is not enough to carry this resolution, at least in very demanding games. So if you plan to take this leap, it is best to opt for the Nvidia 1080 series. Aorus offers very good solutions and a very good price?

Is it worth the change? If you are going to mount a new PC or have a graphics card from two previous generations, yes. It is an option that is not very expensive: about 220 - 230 euros and compensates in a Z270 or AM4 configuration. Of course, it is currently available in any store. What do you think of the graph?
