Amd lowers rx 5700 series prices before launch

AMD's Radeon RX 5700 series of graphics cards will launch on July 7 and it looks like there has been a change in plans regarding the price they will have. At E3 2019, AMD revealed the specs and pricing for its new 7nm graphics product line, but since then it appears there have been changes.

AMD plans to offer gamers better value for money than the competition by lowering the cost of its Radeon RX 5700 XT by $ 50 and lowering its RX 5700 by $ 30. This means that the RX 5700 XT will cost $ 399 and the RX 5700 about $ 349.

This price change will bring the RX 5700 XT to the same values ​​as the RTX 2060 SUPER Founders Edition, as AMD had previously directed the RX 5700 XT to compete with Nvidia's RTX 2070. This means that, at least according to AMD's marketing materials, the AMD RX 5700 XT should offer higher levels of performance in a variety of games, given the card's goals of similar or better performance than an RTX 2070. We will see if this is so. Additionally, the 50th anniversary edition of the RX 5700 XT also drops in price by around $ 50, and is now priced at $ 449.
