AMD Ryzen will officially launch on March 2 with great expectations, a 'hype' that seems to be quite justified with the information that has been emerging in recent weeks. A few hours ago, the Ryzen 5 1600X, one of the members of the Ryzen family of processors with 6 physical cores and 12 logical cores, was seen for the first time.
The Ryzen 5 1600X processor can be seen in the screenshots operating with a base frequency of 3.3GHz, which easily reaches 3.7GHz in Turbo mode, this system is similar to those provided by Intel processors, which adjusts the frequency according to the load of work.

Below we can also see the capture of a Ryzen 5 1300, it is running at 3.17GHz.
The most interesting thing comes in the third screenshot, where you perform a single-thread and multi-thread performance test, using the classic CPU-Z application.

I7 6800K 4GHz Results to Compare
In single-threaded performance the Ryzen 5 1600X achieves a score of 1888, while in multi-threaded performance it achieves about 12, 544 points operating at 3.5GHz. These results place it at the height of an i7 6800K, even superior in multi-thread performance.
This result is excellent if we consider that the i7 6800K is costing around 430 euros, while the Ryzen 5 1600X will cost around 260 euros, the price difference between the two is very large in favor of the AMD processor.
If these data and the previous ones that we have already seen from Ryzen are fulfilled, Intel will have to lower its prices and a lot to be attractive in front of the new proposal from AMD.
