The aggressive price of AMD's new Ryzen 7 processors allows us to get a team made up of the Ryzen 7 1700 and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti for an amount of money very similar to what we would spend with an Intel configuration without the graphics card. As we see the AMD configuration is even cheaper, 30 euros difference that we can invest in buying a better box or chassis for our equipment or in better cooling. If we think of other 8-core processors from Intel, the previous generation Core i7-5960X will come to mind, in this case it is more difficult to find, besides the price is even higher than 1187 euros.

We already see that no matter how much effort we put into opting for the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 it allows us to build a much more complete team than in the case of opting for Intel, in addition to being clearly cheaper.

If we analyze the results we see that in The Division and Far Cry Primal both processors offer equivalent performance, however in Ashes of the Singularity and Rise of the Tomb Raider the Core i7-5960X offers us some valuable FPS more.

There has already been talk of AMD Ryzen 7's "poor" performance in gaming, AMD itself has already spoken out to ensure they are working with studios to optimize games for the Zen microarchitecture and that new processors can perform at their best.. Let's also not forget about the bugs that Windows 10 presents related to SMT technology and the cache and the problems with the current memories certified only for Intel XMP and not for AMD AMP DDR4. Once these problems have been solved and with more mature BIOSes, it is expected that Ryzen's performance will only improve.

Be that as it may, it has once again been shown that Intel is superior to Ryzen in gaming, even the Haswell generation (Core i7-5960X).
