We are only a week away from future next generation Ryzen 3000 processors. However, not all will hit the market at once. In the case of the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, we will not be able to get it until September 2019 , but data has been leaked about its hypothetical performance.

Engineering Samples (ESes)

As we have mentioned, the Ryzen 9 3950X processor is still a few months away, but it seems that some Engineering Samples are already in circulation. So much so that the user of the famous Twiiter platform , "uzzi38", claims to have taken a covered photo of the processor running CPU-Z and Cinebench R15 at the same time.

Although there is no clear printed name, the same software determines the code name "Matisse" next to the 16 core and 32 thread counter . In turn, we can see in the lower window the motherboard MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE on which the tests have been made.

The semi-confirmed Ryzen 9 3950X has tested at an overclocked frequency of 5.42GHz , which places it 1GHz above the ThreadRipper 2950X . And as if that were not enough, the score it has achieved in Cinebench R15 multi-core has been anything but ordinary. AMD's next-gen processor has managed to hit a whopping 5501 . To put it in perspective, the ThreadRipper 2950X itself (one of the most powerful processors of the moment) only reaches 3645 points.

Among the improvements we have for the new generation are:

  • Improved IPCs (Instructions Per Cycle) Higher recommended and maximum boost frequency More cache memory Support for new technologies such as the famous PCIe Gen 4 Smaller transistors Lower consumption

The latest versions of Ryzen were already prepared to overclock, but it seems that Ryzen 3000 takes this statement to a new level. We are waiting to see what else this new generation will be able to do and more to see its results in single-core.

If you are also impatient, stay tuned to the news. As soon as we can, we will be releasing reviews of the new components that are coming down.

And you, are you eager to see future reviews of Ryzen 3000 processors? Which processor do you think is the best in quality / price?
