Finally we have the official release date for the new AMD Ryzen processors, based on the new Zen architecture. The date to mark on the calendar is next March 2, in about two weeks.

March 2 is the launch of Ryzen along with AM4 motherboards

AMD chose Thursday, March 2 to launch its new Ryzen processors, which promise to rival the Skylake and Kaby Lake-based Intel Core i7s. The war that we will have in the coming weeks will have no quarter, since AMD has been able to achieve (according to the benchmarks that have been emerging) a processor in terms of very competitive performance at tempting prices, which surely forced Intel to play with the prices.

Is that if we see the price range in which Ryzen moves, we see that we can have an 8-core processor for less than 400 euros.

The entire Ryzen family

Keep in mind that AMD initially launched the Ryzen 7 series processors (the top of the range) and some time later the other solutions 6 and 4 cores would arrive for the mid-range and entry-level.

Along with the highly anticipated AMD processors, the new AM4 motherboards will also arrive, available from Ryzen launch day. Among all the motherboard models that will be available from day one, we will also have the high-performance solutions with the AMD X370 chipset, which are the ones that promise to take full advantage of the overclocking capabilities of these processors, which will come with multipliers unlocked on all models (this is not Intel). In the case of the AMD X370 chipset, it will come with exclusive features such as support for AMD CrossFire X configurations and Nvidia SLI.

You are less and less to see if Ryzen is all that it promises.
