Amd ryzen threadripper 3000: launch delayed

Anonim

According to a videocardz leak, AMD was planning to announce the new generation of its high-performance AMD Threadripper processors by November 5, its launch would finally be tomorrow November 7 . Could it be true?

The cause of this delay is not really known, it may be related to the departure of the tenth generation of Intel Cascade Lake-X for November 25, which if it is clear is that the other plans are maintained, including the announcement of three new processors: AMD Threadripper 3960X and 3970X.

On paper, they 'll hit stores on November 19, and the AMD Threadripper 3990X will be available in January 2020. The new TRX40 chipset- based motherboards would also be announced alongside various products that are still unknown.

Now we have the question of: When to get the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X ? Will this new generation AMD Threadripper use the chiplet system that has performed so well in the Ryzen 3000 generation? Will the acquisition of this platform be worth it or better go to AM4 for Workstation equipment? It seems that all this and much more, we will know in the coming days.

Now we ask you, what do you think about this launch of the new generation? Will it compete with the future Cascade Lake-X? Leave us your opinion in the comment box.
