Amd will have its own interconnector with polaris

Anonim

One of the innovations in Nvidia's Pascal architecture is the use of an interconnect to improve communication and performance in multi-card configurations on the same system, AMD is not far behind and Polaris will also have its own proprietary interconnect.

AMD will debut an interconnector with Polaris that will offer a bandwidth of 100 GB / s, thus multiplying by five the bandwidth of the PCI-Express bus and increasing the performance of Crossfire configurations. With this new technology, a greater number of cards can be connected in a similar way to Nvidia NVLink that allows up to 8 cards.
