Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB has been announced as an update to the company's original Pallas heatsink, which hit the market in 2014. Raijintek has made four key changes to its design, which we will discuss in this article.

Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB, new low-profile heatsink with lots of RGB

The mirror-finish nickel-plated copper base of the original has been replaced by a direct contact base on this Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB, where the six 6mm thick copper heatpipes make direct contact with the CPU, to absorb more of heat. The second big change is the stack of aluminum fins, now coated in black alongside the heatpipes for a matte look. The third change is the new RGB LED-lit fan that uses 10 diodes, and a standard 4-pin RGB header. Finally, support has been added for newer sockets such as AM4 and LGA2066, in addition to LGA115x and AM3 +.

The Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB heatsink offers a height of only 68mm, making it perfect for low-profile mounts, provided you can find space around the CPU socket, for the large width and depth of the heatsink. Its full dimensions are 130mm x 146.8mm x 68mm with a weight of 550g including the PWM fan, with a hydraulic bearing, which rotates between 200 and 1, 400 RPM, pushing up to 41.71 CFM of air, with an outlet 28.43 dBA maximum noise.

Its predecessor was one of the best low-profile heatsinks available on the market, so this new Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB should be at its height or even a higher level for all the added changes.
