AOC has unveiled its new 31.5-inch monitor AOC AG322QCX, which is coming to cover the increasingly in-demand sector of oversized curved monitors for enthusiastic gamers.

AOC AG322QCX with QHD display and Adaptive-Sync

AOC AG322QCX is a 31.5-inch monitor that offers a QHD resolution of 2560 × 1440 and an image refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen is VA type and has a curvature of 1800 R. The response time would be 4ms.

Since the monitor belongs to the AOC Gaming series, the use of Adaptive-Sync technology should come as no surprise and is AMD FreeSync compatible, this is paramount to avoid annoying stuttering and input-lag from mouse and keyboard controls (or command) while playing demanding video games.

The brightness is 300 nits and its contrast is 2000: 1, it includes hooks for VESA mounting of 100 x 100 mm, and it is possible to tilt or rotate it even slightly. LED lighting is also used at the rear and in the lower corner of the monitor, which is truly spectacular in a dimly lit room. The monitor will have the AOC QuickSwitch controller to be able to make presets according to the game we are running and that will be fully customizable.

Available in May for 599 euros

In order to get hold of it we are going to have to wait until May but we already know its price, about 599 euros. Unfortunately nothing is said about HDR technology, so we assume it won't have it, which we see as a major shortcoming.
