We continue with our first glimpses of AORUS laptops . In this version, the Taiwanese company is committed to a more aggressive design with sharper finishes and deeper blacks.

In a similar way to its lower version, the AORUS 5 , and to the market trend, this laptop will go on the market in different versions. Each model will have different components, so its performance and price will vary, so, first of all, we will summarize what you have in common with the other teams of the brand.

Similarities

This laptop is an All Intel Inside, which tells us that both its internal memory ( SSD ), as well as its Wi-Fi receiver and processor are all signed by Intel . Likewise, the RAM comes from the hand of the Korean Samsung , which reaches frequencies of 2666Mhz and in packs of 8 or 16 GB DDR4.

We will have refrigeration technologies such as WINDFORCE Thermal Design, Artificial Intelligence Microsoft Azure or NAHIMIC 3 3D Surround Sound sound controllers .

The keyboard shines in its classic 16.8 million colors under the Island Style RGB FUSION technology, which we can customize as we like.

Differences

This laptop differs from its two younger brothers by the possibility of choosing its screen. You can choose to mount an IPS 1080p at 144Hz , like the AORUS 5 and 7 , or, for a higher price, take a 240Hz screen signed by the company SHARP.

The options that we can choose for graphics cards are a GTX 1660Ti, an RTX 2060 or an RTX 2070, so power will not be lacking as long as we can pay the price.

And although we have mentioned the WINDFORCE technology that it shares with the other laptops in the range, the chassis of this team is different. The ventilation system is much better thanks to the large bezels on the sides. AORUS boasts 6 heatpipes and 9 openings for air to flow.

Ideas about AORUS 15

The AORUS 15 is the first of three we've seen so far that has truly top features. The setup with an RTX 2060 is pretty competent, but it's the one that mounts an RTX 2070 that really stands out. However, these components make us suspect that it will touch the ultra-top range (and ultra-top prices).

It is a laptop with a good design and an excellent ventilation system, so only by the construction materials it already has an added value. The LED lighting and brightness of the backlit keyboard is very generous, which is why we like it visually, so it is a team that, first-hand, we would recommend.

We are perpetually afraid that the price will be excessive. We will have to wait to know its value in the market and its real performance to determine if it is a product worthwhile. Until then stay informed!
