Aorus gtx 1070 gaming box, external adapter with gtx 1070 included

So far we have seen several devices to connect a desktop graphics card to laptops, all of them had in common that they were simply a box in which to install the card and that they include power and everything necessary. Gigabyte has gone a step further with its Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box that differs from the rest by also including a GeForce GTX 1070 as its name suggests.

Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box is therefore an eGFX adapter, to use desktop graphics cards in laptops and Mini PCs with a Thunderbolt 3 port, which already includes as standard a powerful pre-installed GeForce GTX 1070. Its exact dimensions are not known but it seems that they are approximately half that of Razer Core and Alienware Graphics Amp, this has been possible since by including the graphics card as standard it reduces the complexity of the adapter and can offer a much more compact solution.

The system offers multiple video outputs in the form of four USB 3.0 ports, two DVI connectors, one HDMI connector, and one DisplayPort connector. Of course it includes the elemental Thunderbolt 3 port so that you can communicate with the laptop with enough bandwidth so as not to impair performance.

The great integration of the product also supposes a very competitive sale price, it is expected for an approximate cost of 600 euros, which is not bad at all if we take into account that we have included a whole GeForce GTX 1070. It will go on sale at throughout the summer.
