Gigabyte has just introduced a new M.2 AIC “Aorus RAID SSD 2TB” adapter that comes with 4 built-in SSDs preconfigured in RAID 0 and also integrates an advanced thermal cooling solution.

With exceptional sequential read / write speeds of 6, 300 / 6, 000 MB / s on the PCIe 3.0 NVMe interface, Aorus RAID SSD 2TB SSDs are even faster than what PCIe 4.0 SSDs can offer. Today, it is one of the fastest 2TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe storage devices on the market.

For ultra-fast speeds, Gigabyte Aorus RAID SSD 2TB AIC uses the NVMe 1.3, PCIe 3.0 x8 interface incorporating four 512GB PCIe 3.0 x2 SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. While most PCIe SSDs use 4 lanes, this device 2TB storage uses 8 PCIe 3 lanes to deliver superior performance over PCIe 4.0 drives.

All SSDs are based on the Phison E12 controller using 3D NAND TLC technology. Additionally, each of the SSDs supports 512 MB of DDR cache memory. Individually, these SSDs are not very exciting, but since they are all jointly configured in RAID 0, the performance result is outstanding with extremely fast sequential read and write speeds.

Gigabyte Aorus RAID SSD 2TB comes with a high quality active internal cooling system. Thanks to the 9 built-in sensors that allow you to precisely control the thermal state of each SSD through the AORUS Store Manager. Furthermore, this application offers the possibility to switch between three fan operating modes for efficient thermal dissipation.

In terms of compatibility, this 2TB Aorus RAID SSD is compatible with the latest Intel and AMD motherboard platforms: X299 TRX40, Z390 and X570.
