The new universal VLC application will only work on Windows 10 devices with the Redstone build due to the changes that Microsoft is making in this compilation that will arrive during the month of July in the form of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

With universal applications, the goal is to create a convergence ecosystem in which both Store and traditional applications can run in windows, a great step forward compared to WIndows 8.1. It is also intended that the same application can work on both computers and tablets and smartphones.
