Apple has announced a new version of its mobile operating system in which it introduces a series of interesting novelties to make its devices more useful for users. These innovations focus on improving and refining each function of the system.

The Siri assistant has become 40% faster and 40% more precise, so the error rate when understanding the words given to it has been reduced to 5%. In addition, its intelligence has been improved so it will now take into account the user's location, time, connected devices and even open applications. Its design has also been improved showing the same "look" as in the Apple Watch.

Sportlight has also received improvements and from now on it allows you to search for more things even within the applications that we have installed. Its new screen will be located to the left of the first home page and includes suggestions for contacts and recent applications, nearby places of interest and possible news of interest to the user. All this while maintaining privacy since searches will not be associated with the Apple ID or shared.

The Notes application has been redesigned and does so by providing such interesting features as the ability to add photos, reminder lists and content from other applications.

Passbook has been renamed Wallet to gather credit and debit cards, loyalty cards, tickets and tickets among others. They will also be protected by the user's fingerprint and will allow their use by NFC.

Apple Maps is another application that has received improvements in the new version of iOS by adding a new view of public transport that includes bus routes, trains, subways and ferries in numerous cities. The improved application will be able to indicate the nearest metro station for our journey and will suggest places to eat and do activities with support for Apple Pay.

Finally, real multitasking has arrived, allowing the use of two windows on the screen, a novelty that will only be available for iPads. The system has also been optimized to take up less space, be faster and consume less energy, allowing the battery life to be stretched.

It will be available in beta form from July for iPhone (from iPhone 4s), iPad (from iPad 2) and iPad Mini (all).
