During the WWDC event, Apple officially announced that the iMac Pro would go on sale in December. With the intention of fulfilling this launch, the apple company is working hard to have all the components ready, and one of them will be the Radeon Pro VEGA 64 and 56 graphics cards.
Apple iMac Pro would come out in December
The iMac Pro will use AMD's high-end GPUs, including the Radeon Pro Vega 56 and 64 graphics cards. Model 56 would come with 8GB of HBM2 memory, while Model 64 would come with 16GB of HBM2 memory.
The company in charge of managing the assembly of the iMac Pro would be Siliconware Precision. The gradual increase in orders for the new iMac in recent weeks would indicate that Apple is ready to launch this new computer during the month of December.
Will use Radeon Pro VEGA graphics cards
The iMac Pro represents a strong commitment to the professional market by Apple, with professional components like Xeon CPUs for workstations (up to 18 cores), high-end GPU options and up to 128 GB of ECC RAM. This fully professional computer would be priced at around $ 5, 000.
Despite having completely redesigned internal components, the iMac Pro retains the same design as the regular iMac range with an integrated 5K display. However, for the Pro model only, a gray finish is used for the aluminum and accessories.
Apple commented that there would be a new modular Mac Pro and a new external screen that will be commercialized in the future, although it did not give much more details.
