Apple would be working on its own microled-based screen

A Bloomberg report points out that Apple is working on the development of a screen, based on MicroLED technology, in this way the company would be more self-sufficient when it comes to building its different devices.

Apple wants to reduce its dependence on other companies, an example of this is that they already have their own GPU to the detriment of Imagination, the manufacturer of the graphics cores, which Apple has used in all generations prior to the iPhone 8.

The next step of those of Cupertin, or would be to develop its own screen, not to depend on Samsung, Apple would have opted for MicroLED technology, which is capable of offering very high image quality, with a manufacturing cost lower than OLED panels. MicroLED technology is also exempt from the "burning" problems suffered by OLED panels in static images, something that occurs in smartphones in the status bar at the top.

MicroLED also has a number of advantages over IPS panels, their power consumption is lower, they are thinner and they offer a faster response time, so a priori, they are all advantages in this new technology that is here to stay.

Until now Apple has never created its own screens, so this would be a great move for the company. These displays are reportedly made in California, near Apple's headquarters. The company would have plans to launch its first MicroLED display on an Apple Watch product.
