Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a new investor note stating that the Apple 2018 lineup will feature two new versions of the iPhone. Of course both devices will feature edge-to-edge displays and use Face ID technology for user authentication to replace Touch ID.
This same analyst also warns that Apple could choose to discontinue the current iPhone X entirely if sales remain disappointing, even going further by predicting the death of this series in the summer of 2018. This would be the first time in many years that Apple makes a terminal disappear instead of continuing to sell it as a cheaper option than the new models.
The luck of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be different, these two terminals will continue to be sold as two cheaper options than the new iPhone 8s or iPhone 9, depending on how Apple decides to call the new generation.
