The current trade war between the United States and China can have many consequences for companies. One of them is Apple, which produces its products in China largely. For this reason, the company could be forced at one point to move its production outside the country. The company appears to be ready for this, should the need arise.

Production outside of China

Although from Foxxcon they have wanted to mention that it is not Apple who has asked them to move the production plants or production of the phone outside of China. But that if necessary, due to possible product tariffs, they could be transferred to other countries. So it seems that the company has a plan B quite clear in that regard.

India is being a destination that many companies choose instead of China. Apple has been one of them, with a plant in Bangalore where a new iPhone is manufactured. Although they are not the only ones, other brands such as Samsung have already been betting on India as a place of production for a couple of years.

Another company in this story is Pegatron, which has revealed it plans to assemble iPads and Macbooks at a plant in Indonesia. So they also leave China, a decision that more companies follow because of this trade war with the United States.
