The LTE connection is the main novelty of this new Apple Watch. Thanks to a virtual SIM, the watch will be able to upload and download data from the Internet without needing an iPhone. So now, users will be able to play sports and at the same time listen to streaming music or receive notifications from your social networks thanks to the Apple Watch Series 3.

It is the main novelty of this new Apple smart watch, although logically, it also has its limitations. It does not mean that we will be able to browse the Internet as if we use the iPhone in a normal way. But it will allow us to carry out a series of very useful functions. Inside, this watch has a low power Intel modem. Therefore, we can connect to the Internet at a speed that is 2.5 times faster than 3G. And thanks to that, carry out activities such as streaming music, consult maps to navigate, make calls without using the iPhone or use Siri directly on the watch.

Design

As for the design there are no changes. Apple has not wanted to risk in this aspect and they have not changed it, after rumors that they were going to introduce changes. Finally it was not like that. Where there is news in the Apple Watch Series 3 is in the straps. New straps are introduced . Some are nylon and others are designed by Nike. And existing straps have been improved and come in more colors available.

Where there is a change is in the materials on the outside of the watch. Now, the new Apple Watch Edition will have an improved ceramic material. So the colors will also change. A dark gray color is now added to the ceramic model. And the Apple Watch with LTE has a red digital crown, which will also be reflected in the dial with red hands.

Power

Inside the watch there have been some changes. Mainly to give it more power and make its performance better. The Apple Watch Series 3 now has a new processor. It is a dual core processor (two cores therefore). The W1 and W2 chips have also been updated. Additionally, the watch's Wi-Fi connectivity has increased by 85%.

In addition, improvements have been made to the microphone. From now on, with this new model, it will be possible to call without having to put the watch close to your mouth. So it will be more comfortable for the user, especially if he is walking or doing some activity while calling. It has also been announced that Siri will run faster with this new watch.

Launch, price and availability

The launch of these new watches will depend on the country in which one is located. The first wave of countries (Germany, Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States) will be able to buy the watch from September 22. The price of the Apple Watch Series 3 is $ 329 in its LTE offline version. The LTE version of the watch will cost $ 399.

At the moment it is not known when it will arrive in Spain. It is likely to be next month, although nothing has been revealed about it yet. We will have to wait for more details from Apple. It should also be mentioned that in the case of the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE, since it is a virtual SIM, it is necessary to reach agreements with the operators. In Spain nothing is known yet about prices, although in the United States Verizon already announces that it will charge an extra $ 10 to the user.
