Artic announces the freezer i32 and freezer a32 semi-passive heatsinks
Artic has announced its new Freezer i32 and Freezer A32 heatsinks with a usual tower-shaped design and the feature of working passively until the CPU reaches a certain temperature, perfect for maintaining absolute silence in low-load situations.
The new Freezer i32 and Freezer A32 heatsinks are essentially the same except that the former is Intel compatible and the latter AMD compatible. Its design is based on a radiator made of aluminum fins that is crossed by four U-shaped copper heatpipes that start from the base.
Their most striking feature is that they keep the 120mm PWM fan off until the CPU reaches an unspecified temperature, at which point it begins to spin until it reaches 40% RPM and continues to accelerate as the system load increases.
They allow the installation of a second fan and do not interfere with the RAM slots. The bundle is completed with Artic's MX-4 thermal compound.
Its price is approximately $ 50.
