ASRock, manufacturer of motherboards, has presented the new series ASRock B450 Steel Legend socket AM4 with a design that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Currently available in ATX and micro ATX formats, they have essentially the same features except the size and number of PCIe ports (The B450 wins 3 PCIe 3.0 X1).

Style and substance in the ASRock B450 Steel Legend

Certainly eye-catching, between brushed aluminum heatsinks and RGB lighting, it's a solid foundation for mounting a PC without discretion as a goal.

And in addition, a gray, white and black digital camo finish on the base of the plate, designed to stand out from the crowd.

But aside from style, it supports up to 64GB of 3533 MHz DDR4 overclocked memory. It also has 2 PCIe 3.0 X16 and 4 PCIe 2.0 x1 and support for AMD Quad CrossFire.

In storage it has 4 SATA3 6Gb / s connectors and RAID 0, 1 and 10 support. 2 sockets for M.2 SSDs, one X4 with aluminum protection (only in the ATX version) and the other X2. The integrated components are Realtek ALC892 7.1 audio and Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit network card.

The back of both models features a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A, a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, 4 USB 3.1, and 2 USB 2.0, plus a keyboard / mouse combo PS / 2. In audio it has optical S / PDIF output and 5 3.5 mm jacks of the integrated audio.

Protection as objective

The boards have ASRock Full Spike Protection on the USB, Audio and LAN ports; to avoid damage in voltage peaks and storms. Between Nichicon 12k capacitors and 12A choke coils for voltage regulation; makes sure to maintain a stable voltage during overclocking.
