Asus leader in the manufacture of high performance motherboards, graphics cards and laptops has recently launched its new Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura motherboard with 10 power phases, LANGuard network card, premium sound card and a spectacular design. Don't miss our review!
We thank Asus for trusting the product for its analysis:
Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura technical specifications
Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura
The Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura is presented in a robust packaging and with a very good design. Use corporate colors: red and black for all coverage. In the rear area we have all the most important features and improvements of this new generation B150.
Once we open the box we find a very complete bundle:
- Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura motherboard. Back plate. Instruction manual and quick guide. CD with drivers. SATA cables. M.2 disk screw.
The Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura is an ATX format motherboard with dimensions of 30.5cm x 24.4cm, so we will not have a problem assembling any tower in this format. The colors that predominate in its design are matte black for the PCB and red details on its heatsinks.
On cooling, it has two robust heatsinks that keep the 10 supply phases cool and the B150 chipset. It incorporates the Gamer´s Guardian technology with a Digi + VRM voltage regulator module, an over current protection in the RAM memory, latest generation components that withstand a higher temperature and a steel reinforcement in the rear input and output panel.
It features 4 64 GB compatible DDR4 RAM memory sockets and speeds of up to 2133 Mhz and XMP 2.0 profile.
The board has a double USB 3.0 connection. allowing us to have several ports in our maximum speed tower.
Among its expansion connections we find 3 x16 slots with PCI Express 3.0 bus and compatible with Nvidia's 2 Way SLI and AMD 3 way CrossFireX technology. As an extra, it includes two PCI Express x1 connections and two regular PCI connections.
Only includes an M.2 connection. with a bandwidth of 32 GB / s that will give us the maximum power that we can achieve with these discs.
We find a SupremeFX that incorporates an analog ESS ES9023P converter (DAC) with HyperStream technology, Nichicon capacitors, 2Vrms headphone amplifier, and Sonic SenseAmp that automatically detects and optimizes any headphone in the range of 32 to 600 ohms to offer quality purer sound.
It incorporates only six 6 GB / s SATA III connections that allow us to carry out RAID 0, 1 and 5 with multiple hard drives.
Finally I detail the complete rear connections of the Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura:
- 2 x USB 2.0.4 x USB 3.0.1 x D-SUB. 1 x HDMI. 1 x USB Type-C. 1 x Gigabit LAN. Digital audio output.

The BIOS does not change too much to those already analyzed in the Z170 series, only that this series does not allow us to overclock from the multiplier to our processor, but if it allows us to touch the BLCK to increase the frequency, for this we must have memory with high speed.
Final words and conclusion
Asus knows that there are more and more gamers and that for them it is very important concepts such as sound (Sonid Radar II), a good network card (Asus LANGuard and GameFirst) and a lighting system that catches their attention such as the Aura.. For this reason, the Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura motherboard meets all the essential requirements and the best that is within the reach of any pocket without spending 250 euros.
In our tests we have referred to pass the classic benchmarks and test the games with stock frequencies (since it does not allow us to overclock) and the result is as expected. Although those 10 phases of feeding in a B150 board make the product a little more expensive.
In short, if you are looking for a quality motherboard, with excellent components and you do not intend to overclock, the Asus B150 PRO Gaming / Aura is the perfect candidate. If you do not like having lights on your computer, you can opt for the normal version that uses DDR3 memory and some lower features, but it is worth 20 euros less.
