Asus has announced its new high-performance graphics card Asus GTX 980 Ti Poseidon that with its hybrid cooling system will be at the height of the most demanding gamers.

The main feature of the new Asus GTX 980Ti Poseidon is the use of a DirectCU H2O hybrid cooling system that is prepared to operate with air or water if connected to a custom high-performance liquid cooling circuit.

It has an aluminum finned radiator with a steam chamber that is crossed by several copper heatpipes that are responsible for distributing the heat generated by the GPU. A pair of fans with anti-dust technology complete the set. Asus states that this heatsink allows the card to work up to 30ºC cooler than the reference model if we connect it to a liquid cooling circuit and 5ºC lower if not connected, for its part, the fans have been designed to offer excellent performance with great durability and low noise.

As a good GTX 980Ti it is, it has the Nvidia GM200 GPU made up of 2816 CUDA Cores, 176 TMUs and 96 ROPS operating at a maximum frequency of 1228 Mhz, accompanied by 6 GB of 7.10 GHz GDDR5 VRAM with a 384-bit interface. Of course it features a custom Asus PCB with top quality Super Alloy Power II components to offer the best possible reliability and longevity while improving energy efficiency.

Its availability date and price have not been announced.
