Gigabyte Launches X399 Aorus Extreme
Like MSI, Gigabyte has decided to launch its highest-end motherboard for the new Threadripper 2 processors, rather than offering updates for its current motherboards. It will come with eight ruggedized memory slots, four PCIe x16 ports, 3 M.2 connectors with its own heatsink.
Regarding power, the VRM has 10 phases and we will have to make use of 2 8-pin EPS connectors and 1 6-pin PCIe from our power supply.
MSI relies on its new X399 Creation board
This board was already shown at Computex 2018, and in addition to its extremely aggressive design and the inclusion of an M.2 SSD expansion kit that looks like a graphics card, there is much more to comment on.
