ASUS ROG introduced its newest addition to the range of refrigerators, which also happens to be its cheapest offering. This AIO product, also known as a closed-loop refrigerator (CLC), bypasses RGB lighting to reduce costs. This is the ROG Strix LC 120 and 240.

ROG STRIX LC is the new low-cost liquid cooling series from ASUS

This is the low-end model below the Ryuo and Ryujin. The LC 120 comes with a 120mm radiator and the LC 240 comes with a 240mm. ROG opted for a circular block in which only the brand's logo is illuminated.

The refrigerator is compatible with Intel and AMD sockets. On the AMD side, the AM4 socket is seamlessly compatible, but the TR4 socket, due to its large size, requires an additional part to function which is purchased separately. From Intel, the supported platforms are LGA 115x, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066. The only unsupported socket is the LGA 3647.

The cooling area is a combination of block and pumps and its dimensions are 80 x 80 x 45 mm. The cold plate is high quality copper which has etched microchannels to provide better heat dissipation which in turn would equate to better cooling performance. The connection from the pump to the radiator is made with a 15-inch rubber tube with a braided handle. The tube length should allow multiple mounting positions depending on the case.

The fans are ROG's 120mm Ryuo models that are all black with the ROG eye etched in the center. The fans have speeds between 800 and 2500 RPM with a CFM of 81. He also claims that the static pressure is 5.0mm H2O with a sound level of 37.6 dB (A).

Pricing and availability have not been announced, but are expected to cost below current ROG Ryujin and Ryuo.
