Asus introduces the tuf vg32vq monitor with motion smoothing
Table of contents:
ASUS 'TUF brand is entering the monitor market, bringing with it new technologies that until now have not been seen in the monitor segment. The TUF Gaming VG32VQ monitor introduces motion blur reduction and adaptive sync (Variable Refresh Rates / VRR) technology, creating what ASUS calls 'Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync' (ELMB-SYNC). This should attenuate the blur effect in moving images, something that can be seen especially in images at 60 fps on normal monitors.
ASUS Introduces TUF VG32VQ Monitor Introduces Adaptive Timing and Motion Blur Reduction Technology
Typically you can have ELMB or adaptive sync as ELMB technology requires a strobe backlight and synchronizing this backlight with a variable refresh rate display is not an easy task which is why simultaneous ELMB and adaptive sync capabilities ASUS are so remarkable.

ASUS claims its ELMB-Sync technology is "exclusive", which means it may take a while for other monitor manufacturers to offer similar features.
This technology should first launch with ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ, a 32-inch VA monitor with 1440p resolution that supports HDR and a refresh rate of 144Hz. ASUS has not specified all the HDR capabilities of this display nor the expected launch date, although its inclusion of ELMB-Sync makes this monitor one of the ones to consider when it is available on the market.
