ASUS first introduced its Chromebox 3 mini-PC at CES 2018, which was held earlier this year. They are almost here now, with four different CPU options to cover a wide spectrum of audiences and pockets.

ASUS lists Chromebox 3 prices and specs

Chromebox mini-PCs are using Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake laptop CPUs. Specifically, it starts with the Celeron 3865U @ 1.8 GHz in the base model. It then scales to the i3-7100U dual-core @ 2.4GHz for the N018U and N019U models. Lastly, the high-end N020U uses an Intel Core i7-8550U @ 1.8GHz processor with 4-core cores and 'Coffee lake' generation.

They all come with dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, as well as a Gigabit LAN port for wired network connectivity. It also has HDMI and a DisplayPort for the video outputs. The rest of the connectors include a micro SD card reader, USB-C and five USB Type A 3.0 ports. All four models use the built-in Intel HD 620 graphics and DDR4 RAM. In terms of storage, it comes with 32GB of capacity in an M.2 SSD and an optional internal SSD port.

How much do these new ASUS Chromebox 3 cost?

The base model of the Chromebox 3 costs 'only' $ 249.99. Meanwhile, the two models with i3 are priced at $ 449.99 and $ 501.99 respectively, these only differ in size of RAM (4GB vs. 8GB). Meanwhile, the high-end N020U with a Core i7 processor costs $ 733.99.
