Previously we reviewed the ROG STRIX and Maximus XI motherboard models, and now it's the turn of the series that are positioned below that price and performance range. We are talking about the TUF Gaming and PRIME series.

TUF Gaming series motherboards

The TUF Gaming series ranks somewhat below ROG STRIX and is led by the TUF Z390 Pro Gaming model. The ASUS TUF Gaming series comes in five motherboard options this time including the two mATX options and you can see them together below.

TUF Z390 Pro Gaming ($ 169.99 US)

TUF Z390 Plus Gaming WiFi ($ 169.99 US)

TUF Z390 Plus Gaming ($ 159.99 US)

TUF Z390M Pro Gaming WiFi ($ 179.99 US)

TUF Z390M Pro Gaming ($ 159.99 US)

The series is positioned with prices between 160 and 180 dollars with three ATX models and two in mATX format (Z390M-PRO GAMING (WI-FI) and Z390M-PRO GAMING), and despite their format, they still have 4 DIMM slots DDR4 and SLI support. The Z390-PRO GAMING model is the flagship of the series in ATX format only because it has three PCI-e slots, although it lacks Wi-Fi and integrated Bluetooth like the Z390 Plus Gaming WiFi or its own Pro variant with WiFi.

PRIME series motherboards

The ASUS PRIME series comes in four motherboard options this time including all three PRIME and a workstation-oriented design that you can see below.

PRIME Z390-A ($ 149.99 US)

PRIME Z390-P ($ 129.99 US)

PRIME Z390M-Plus

WS Z390 Pro

In the particular case of the WS Z390 Pro, it is designed for professional workstations, who want to build a high-power multicore system with one of the Intel Core i9-9900K processors. The biggest feature of the WS Z390 Pro motherboard is its ability to run four-way SLIs thanks to four protected, full-length PCIe 3.0 slots. At the moment we do not know the official price of this motherboard.

The Z390M-Plus in mATX format seems to be the most basic model in this series with M.2 support included. This model is available today for 150 euros.
