Asus has released its first environmental profit and loss report in collaboration with Taiwan's consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. For the preparation of this novel report, all the environmental impact of the company's activity within its sector has been taken into account. This will allow Asus to identify the key points to improve for the future, something beneficial for the company and for others to which it can serve as inspiration.

This project has focused on determining the environmental impact of the portable product line with respect to the company's operations and supply chain. The economic value of each loss and each gain has been calculated. The study concludes that water pollution is the main environmental impact of the life cycle of consumer laptops, secondly, there is the emission of greenhouse gases, and thirdly, solid waste and water consumption.
Thanks to this study , all the costs involved in the life cycle of a product have been identified, and importance has been placed on knowing how to correctly choose external suppliers. The next steps in this project will be to assess the impact of the product lines of smartphones, motherboards, desktop PCs and monitors, all while calculating the company's profits and losses to check the effectiveness of the new measures implemented.
