Asus radeon rx vega 64 strix oc edition already has final specs

AMD Vega is not being easy to tame for the main graphics card manufacturers, the new AMD silicon has a very high power consumption so there is a lot of heat to dissipate, in addition there are several versions of the chips with different levels of height of the die of the GPU and the HBM2 memory stacks, which makes it very difficult to design a heatsink that is effective with all versions of the chips. Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 Strix OC Edition is the most advanced card in its development and we already know its official specifications.
Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 Strix OC Edition
Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 Strix OC Edition has already gone through our test bench although it was a preliminary version of the card so its specifications have varied. Asus has had many problems with the heatsink due to the different designs used by AMD for its Vega silicon as we have mentioned before.
Asus has revealed the official final specifications for its Radeon RX Vega 64 Strix OC Edition graphics cards with clock speeds that are around 50MHz higher than AMD's reference models. Unfortunately, this is not a great indication of what the average GPU clock speed of this card will be, although it is encouraging to see that the manufacturer has been able to increase the performance of this GPU.
As for memory, Asus decided to keep RX Vega's HBM2 memory at AMD's 945 MHz reference speeds, which means this GPU should not offer any additional memory performance over its reference counterpart.
Compared to the Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid variant, this new Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 Strix OC Edition offers lower clock speeds, something that was already to be expected given the high power consumption of this AMD space card needing cooling liquid to function.
