ASUS Live Update has a new version and fixes security problems
ASUS Customer Service has reportedly been reaching out to affected users and providing assistance to ensure security risks are eliminated.
ASUS has also released a fix in the latest version of the Live Update software tool (version 3.6.8), where it introduces multiple security verification mechanisms to prevent any malicious manipulation in the form of software updates or other means, and has implemented an improved end-to-end encryption mechanism. At the same time, the server software architecture has also been updated and strengthened to prevent similar attacks from occurring in the future.
In addition to this, an online security diagnostic tool was designed to check if any computer has been affected, so that any user who has used the tool can check if their system is vulnerable or infected with this ShadowHammer virus.
