Asus has announced the latest addition to its ROG Maximus product line, the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula designed with the most demanding overclockers in mind. It includes a hybrid air / water cooling system that this time is based on an EK Water block.
The Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula Formula includes an EK CrossChill hybrid cooling system that mounts directly on top of MOSFETs and is designed to work both passively and actively. The block is capable of maintaining MOSFETs at a maximum temperature of 23ºC according to Asus.
The motherboard also has the ROG Armor shield on the front and on the back, a shield that serves as a reinforcement to the board and that includes RGB LED lighting that can be customized at the user's discretion using the Aura lightning software. An extra 4-pin connector is also included so you can add an additional LED strip to decorate the system.
The Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula includes the most advanced features such as U.2 and M.2 slots with NVM protocol, USB 3.1 Type-C and Type-A, Intel I219-V gigabit LAN, dual band WiFi 802.11ac, a DAC ESS ES9023P and SupremeFX high quality sound.
